It was another bumper round of Youth Girls football in the South Metro Junior Football League (SMJFL).

Here is our weekend wrap:

St Bedes/Mentone Tigers continued their promising start to the season with a 66-point win over East Brighton Vampires. Laura Amelung bagged four for the home team who boast an incredible defensive record this season, conceding just 58 points in three rounds, while scoring 229. Another undefeated team, St Peters chalked up another win with a 56-point win over the Bentleigh Demons, with an impressive eight individual goal-kickers. In the final game of the round, Prahran came away with the win in a topsy-turvy contest against Brighton Beach. Prahran led by just three points at three-quarter time and held firm to win by 12 points, their first win of the season.
