If you’re ready for a new career in the sports industry, Opens external link in new windowAFL Victoria and Opens external link in new windowAFL Sportsready want to make that dream a reality with the Sports Management & Leadership Program.

This program runs from February to November and provides a direct entry pathway to Opens external link in new windowLa Trobe University, with up to one year credit into a range of Bachelor Degree courses.

Aiming to provide participants with qualifications, experience and industry networks, it provides you with a great platform and starting point to develop a full-time career within the sports industry.

The best thing about the program is the hands on industry experience you will receive. Students will undertake the equivalent of two days a week, managerial work placement (volunteer) at one of AFL Victoria’s affiliated leagues and clubs.

There will be a maximum of two students per organisation and students stay with the same organisation for the duration of the program; this will enable students to gain real experience in a high level sporting environment and gain valuable relationships with staff and athletes alike. 

Students will receive exposure to a range of managerial level experiences and potential, ongoing career opportunities.

To be eligible, applicants must have successfully completed year 12 or be a mature age applicant. A mature age student is nay student that is not a current school leaver. But places are limited, so hurry.
