We are excited to announce the games that our South Metro Stars will play on home turf.

Wear you club colours, and line the sidelines to support your teammates and club-mates as they represent the league. Everyone plays better with cheer squad on the boundary fence!

SMJFL will be hosting Yarra JFL, Eastern FL, Western Region FL and South East Juniors’ representative teams on some great grounds in our region.

AFL Victoria Metro Junior Championship games begin on Wednesday June 1, as the all South Metro Stars take on the Eastern Football League teams. Later in the month over Queens Birthday Weekend, the Stars will face YJFL before the U14 & U15 boys’ squads will tackle the Western Region side in the final round. U13 teams will play all games on the Sunday against SEJ, EFL and YJFL in a round robin carnival.

 

Under Lights

Wednesday 1st June – Under 15 Boys in both division 1 and 2 teams will host EFL at Moorleigh Reserve in the first Round. Division 2 will play at 6pm, Division 1 at 8pm.

The Under 15 Girls team will welcome the EFL team at Walter Galt Reserve, kicking off at 6pm.

If last year was anything to go by the atmosphere at both venues will be a great, with the excitement of a night game only adding to the community event.

Under 14 boys teams play away.

Super Saturday

Saturday 11th June – Under 14 boys (Div 1 & 2) play at home for their round 2 game. Hosting YJFL at Toorak Park. Division 2 will play at 12noon, Division 1 at 2pm.

Under 15 Boys & Girls teams play away.

Sunday Spectacular

Sunday 12th June – SMJFL will host the Under 13 interleague carnival at Centenary Park, coming up against representative sides from YJFL and SEJ and EFL.

Games will be played at 10.20am, 11.45am, 1.30pm & 1.50pm.

Under 15 and 14 squads have a rest & recovery day.

Monster Monday

Monday 13th June – The Under 15 squads (boys & girls, div 1 & 2) will be back in the SMJFL region to play their Round 3 matches at Trevor Barker Oval. 

The SMJFL U15 Girls will kick things off at 9.50am vs Yarra JFL 2 . There will be a half time Girls-only Auskick Grid Game featuring Auskick girls from the South Metro Region.

Division 2 will play at 12noon, and Division 1 playing at 2pm.

A great day to cap the end of the regular rounds, hopefully with a few teams in Grand Final contention.

Under 14 boys teams play away.
