In 2013, the SMJFL website was the no.1 junior sport website in Australia (in terms of online traffic) for the second consecutive year.

smjfl.com.au had over 3.24 million hits from January 1 to September 30 this year, up from 2.58 million hits over the same time period in 2012. This equates to annual growth of 25.4 per cent.

Based on those figures for website hits, the SMJFL website was ranked no.10 of all SportingPulse football league websites across Australia (junior and senior leagues) and no.8 of all Victorian-based websites.

SMJFL General Manager Jake McCauley said it was a great achievement for the SMJFL website to again top the junior league website rankings and also to move from no.12 to no.10 in the overall rankings for junior and senior league websites.

“This highlights not only the efforts of the SMJFL administration but the ongoing support of our website from our member clubs, players, parents, officials and supporters,” McCauley said.

“The SMJFL will continue to listen to its members to ensure that we provide quality content on the website and continue to increase our annual website hits.”
