The South Metro Junior Football League (SMJFL) is delighted to announce that it has signed the McDonald’s South Eastern restaurants as the co-naming rights partner for the 2014 SMJFL Final’s Series and the SMJFL Preferred Partner for restaurants.

The new agreement will see the McDonald’s South Eastern restaurants support the SMJFL by providing awards for all participating finalists and dedicated volunteers during the finals period until September 30, 2014.

SMJFL’s General Manager Jake McCauley had this to say about the announcement “We are delighted to partner with McDonald’s South Eastern restaurants. McDonald’s is the newest addition to the SMJFL Partners Program and their sponsorship of the league allows the SMJFL to continue to have the most affordable team affiliation fees in Melbourne. The success of the Partners Program is through the support of the SMJFL Member Clubs and we look forward to the Clubs supporting McDonald’s this year. Additionally, this partnership will add to the existing relationships SMJFL Clubs have with their local McDonald’s restaurants and we look forward to growing the partnership in future years to come.”

McDonald’s South Eastern restaurants are releasing the “SMJFL Final’s Feast” during the finals series. The initiative will give participants a chance to win one of six SMJFL player registrations for the 2015 season.

This competition will only be available in the following McDonald’s South Eastern restaurants: Braeside, Cheltenham, Chadstone, Chadstone Shopping Centre, Clayton, Heatherton, Mount Waverley, Mulgrave, Oakleigh, Southland, Southland Food Court, South Oakleigh, Waverley Gardens and Vermont South.

Local McDonald’s licensee Jamie Evans said McDonald’s was very proud of the partnership with the South Metro Junior Football League, an example of McDonald’s commitment to promoting active and healthy lifestyle for children in the local community.

“We hope the partnership will help the league to continue to provide an outstanding community football league.”
