Season 2017 of the South Metro Junior Football League (SMJFL) is officially underway, with over 470 teams taking the field during Round 1.

On what was a perfect autumn Melbourne’s day for football, thousands of boys and girls were finally able to put their tough pre-seasons behind them, lace up the boots and return to the action on the field.
