In the lead up to the Interleague representative championships, South Metro Junior Football League (SMJFL) is excited to announce that 11 league players have been selected in Under 15 School Sport Victoria (SSV) squads. These teams are chosen to represent the state of Victoria in School Sport Australia’s Australia Football Championships for 15 years and under.

Scheduled for July this year, the selected players will travel across to South Australia and play in a State vs State competition. Among the selections are a handful of South Metro Stars Interleague Players, 8 of which participated in the St Kilda Next Generation Academy.

SMJFL would like to congratulate the following players on their selection into an SSV team;

Under 15 Boys:

Justin Davies (Mordialloc-Braeside JFC), Nate Dear (Beaumaris JFC),  Josh Sinn (East Brighton Vampires JFC), Ben Andrew (St Kilda City JFC) and Nicholas Salmon (East Brighton Vampires JFC).

Under 15 Girls Vic 1:

Eliza James (St Peters FC) and Bridie Hipwell (East Sandringham JFC)

Under 15 Girls Vic 2:

Sascha Pribil (Mordialloc-Braeside JFC), Portia Ronsberg, Summer Trim and Bethany Bratuskins (Beaumaris FC)


We are immensely proud of these player’s dedication to their football.

It is through their hard work, enthusiasm, commitment and the support of their families that they have been selected for these teams and we are sure they will represent us well!
