The SMJFL sends our congratulations to current AFL Coach of the Western Bulldogs, Luke Beveridge, after being presented with the Coach of the Year award for 2015 from the AFL Coaches Association.

Current top dog Beveridge is a former coach of the U16s at St Peters Football Club. He also volunteered as a runner and trainer while his two sons played at the junior club.

Beveridge has presented at St Peters information nights and other St Peters events to further develop junior football at the club.

While at St Peters, Beveridge was at the Hawthorn Football Club as an assistant coach up until the end of the 2014 season when he was appointed at the Bulldogs.

In the Victorian Amateur Football Association (VAFA) Beveridge also saw the St Bedes/Mentone Tigers win three flags while he was head coach.

Congratulations again to Luke Beveridge. We hope the Bulldogs have a great 2016 season!
