The South Metro Junior Football League (SMJFL) is excited to announce the results of the recent board elections that were confirmed at the 2017 Annual General Meeting held on Wednesday 13 December.

Lewis Bearman was elected unopposed for a three-year term in the Chair position. Lewis has been on Board sub-committees for Finance, and Governance, as well as Football, Talent & Pathways during his time on the board. We congratulate Lewis and wish him all the best as he enters his fourth year on the Board and continues to provide important leadership and direction for the League.

The outgoing Chair, Peter Ryan finished a five-year term with the Board as he handed over to Lewis. The league and members farewelled Peter and recognised his commitment and passion after initially serving two years on the board (one as Vice-Chair), and his final three years as Chair.

The final vacant position was filled by Don Robertson who was elected unopposed for a three-year term in a general position. Don brings to the board experience in club administration and professional skills as a Senior Consultant at a private consulting engineering firm, as well as a long involvement in junior football for himself and his family, most recently with St Kilda City JFC.
