The new media team will be responsible for the management of the league’s website, social media accounts and e-newsletter. The team will also coordinate the league’s record published towards the end of the season.
Clarke is a former media assistant at the SMJFL and is eager to start working with Benoiton and Charles for the season.
“The experience I gained last year at the SMJFL was a great opportunity for me and I aim to uphold the high quality of media content being produced by the league,” Clarke said.
Benoiton is currently studying a Bachelor of Journalism at Macleay College and is excited at the prospect of the new experiences he will gain while at SMJFL.
“I am looking forward to learning the skills that it takes to work in a sporting league,” Benoiton said.
Charles is a recent graduate of Bachelor of Arts (Public Relations) at Deakin University who is keen to work in the sports media sector.
“I feel joining the SMJFL media team will enable me to pursue a career in sports communication as it gives me the chance to gain experience in my desired field,” Charles said.
The trio commenced their roles in May 2015.
The media team will be the initial contact for the league regarding any media enquiries.
