The South Metro Junior Football League (SMJFL) is proud to announce its’s newest recruit, Bree Vallance, as General Manager of Football Operations.
Bree brings a wealth of knowledge and experience across all facets of sports administration to the role, having spent more than ten years working in community sports organisations, particularly those within the AFL community. Bree is also the Director of Sports CATCH, a business focused on supporting grass roots sporting clubs in strategy, governance and competition management.
“We are delighted to welcome Bree to the SMJFL and believe that her long standing involvement within our community as both a parent and club administrator will see her hit the ground running as we prepare for the 2022 season,” said Matthew Brown, CEO.
Matthew expressed the SMJFL communities’ excitement to get back to playing sport and that he and his team, “look forward to delivering a high-quality football competition in the South Metro region, bringing clubs, players, officials, volunteers and the entire community back together doing what they love.”
Bree comes to SMJFL from Football Victoria where she was its Club Support Manager, working with clubs on a range of issues including navigating the impacts of COVID.
“It’s been a challenging couple of years for community sport and I look forward to contributing to the positive change and growth the SMJFL community deserves,” said Bree.
