Monash University Under 18 Girls Division 1

East Brighton Vampires d. Beaumaris GREAT WHITES


In a showcase under lights at Hurlingham Park, East Brighton Vampires have made it three-from-three in season 2023, with a win over Beaumaris.


It was a celebration of footy on the night, with an Under 11 ‘Brighton Derby’ between the Vampires and Brighton Beach providing a curtain raiser for the Under 18 Girls.


Both teams and umpires then enjoyed dinner in the clubrooms, bringing a real community footy vibe to the first night game hosted at Hurlingham Park for 2023.

SUNDAY 7 MAY 2023


Oakleigh Dragons 1.5.11 def by. South Melbourne Districts 3.10.28

South Melbourne Districts are in the winners circle for the first time this season, with victory over Oakleigh at Scammell Reserve. In what played out to be a tight contest, the Bloods were able to keep the Dragons at arms distance throughout, leading at every break to secure the win.


Mordialloc-Braeside 8.7.55 d. East Malvern EVA 5.2.32

Mordialloc-Braeside have bounced back from last week’s defeat, with a win over East Malvern EVA. Trailing at quarter time, the Mustangs came out firing with a five-goal-to-one second term, setting up their second win of the season.

Monash University Under 17.5 Boys Division 1

Ormond 15.14.104 d. St. Kilda City 5.7.37

Ormond have notched up it’s second win of the season, defeating St. Kilda City at EE Gunn Reserve. After a tight first quarter, the Monders were able to hit the scoreboard with regularity to secure the win.


Sandy Rovers Highett 5.9.39 def by. South Melbourne Districts 8.10.58

Despite a spirited fourth quarter comeback from Sandy Rovers Highett, South Melbourne Districts have notched their first win on the season with victory at Highett Reserve. With SRH having booted only eight behinds up to three quarter time, the Bloods were able to put scoreboard pressure on, leading to the win.


Beaumaris 12.9.81 d. Mordialloc-Braeside 2.4.16

Beaumaris has continued it’s fast start to their premiership defence, with a win over Mordialloc-Braeside. Leading at every change, the Sharks once again flexed their muscle, proving early on in 2023 their ambitions to feature in the latter stages of the season.
