CABRINI EMERGENCY EXTENDS THROUGH 2023

The South Metro Junior Football League (SMJFL) is proud to announce Cabrini Emergency have continued their partnership with the league through 2023.

Cabrini’s Emergency Department, located on Wattletree Road Malvern, treats all emergency conditions (except major trauma) 24 hours, seven days a week.

Cabrini have partnered with the league since April 2019 as the league’s Match Day Emergency partner in the unfortunate occurrence of injuries during games.

‘As we head into our 75th year of caring for the southeast Melbourne community, Cabrini Emergency is proud to continue its support of the South Metro Junior Football League’, said Sue Williams, Cabrini Chief Executive.

‘It was a pleasure to take Matthew (Brown) on a tour of our facilities and introduce him to our dedicated Emergency Department staff.’

‘And while we hope no SMJFL footballer has to visit our Emergency Department; if they do, their parents should take comfort in knowing they will receive the best of care.’

The partnership with Cabrini Emergency aims to off-set the costs of requiring emergency treatment for our SMJFL players they may require as a result of participating in football activities, something both parties will be striving diligently to achieve throughout 2023.

‘There is so many fantastic things about our game which make it so great, however, if there is one aspect we could do without, its injuries,’ said Matthew Brown, SMJFL CEO.

‘Fortunately, we have the best possible care in Cabrini supporting the league when the harsh reality of injuries occurs.’

‘As a former patient of Cabrini, I can attest to this being the case.’

The health and well-being of all SMJFL participants is the highest of priorities for the league, and Cabrini’s partnership ensures we can continue to provide the highest level of care to the best of our abilities.
