The SMJFL will kick off the 2016 season with a massive clash between Under 14 Division 1 heavyweights Cheltenham Panthers and East Sandringham Zebras at Jack Barker Oval.

The big game will be played under lights from 6:30pm on Friday 15th April and will double as a fundraiser for the Will Murray Foundation.

A gold coin donation will get you entry into the ground with all proceeds raised going to the charity set up to aid Will’s rehabilitation from a spinal injury. All SMJFL players are also urged to wear their club jumpers as a show of support for Will. We’d love to see the rainbow colors of club jumpers surrounding the ground, and all mixing as one, coming together to support this local cause.

Following the game attendees are invited to move inside and tune into the AFL clash between West Coast and Richmond LIVE in the clubrooms.

It promises to be a massive night, so let’s get as many SMJFL people there as possible and launch the new season in style!
