Division 1:

Prahran had a 31-point win over Bentleigh on Sunday, but it was not an easy victory. Despite Prahran leading by 21-points at half-time, the Demons had a stunning third quarter, where they kicked 2 goals to Prahran’s single behind. This meant Bentleigh was now just 5-points behind going into the final quarter, and it was still anyones game. Prahran lifted and turned the tables on the Demon in the last quarter, booting 4 goals while preventing the Demons from scoring and working hard to cement a win, and also a move to second on the ladder. Final Score: Bentleigh 3.7 25 def. by Prahran 8.8 56

Beaumaris win by default after Port Melbourne Colts forfeit.

St Bedes/Mentone moves to 5th on the ladder after defeating St Peters, who fell to 3rd at the conclusion of the round. It was an extremely tight game where much of the action occurred in the middle, so both teams struggled to score. Neither team scored a goal within the first half, before the Tigers were able to gain some ground in the third quarter and boot 2 goals to put themselves in the lead.  St Peters created some opportunities for themselves in the last quarter, but their inaccuracy in front of goal saw them finishing goalless and unable to get back in front. Final Score: St Bedes/Mentone 2.3 15 def. St Peters 0.10 10

Division 2:

Hampton Rovers and Oakleigh competed in an absolute thriller, whereby Oakleigh remained in front for the first three quarters, with a mere 1-point lead going into the final term. With both teams struggling to score throughout the final term, the game came down to the dying minutes, where Hampton had the opportunity to take the lead for the first time in the match, and maybe also secure the win. When the kick resulted in a behind, both teams were left tied at the final siren, resulting in a draw. Final Score: Hampton 2.4 16 drew with Oakleigh 2.4 16
