What does it mean to be Team Mascot for St Kilda FC?
As the Team Mascot you run through the pre-game banner as one of the team. Leading the team up the race and on to Etihad Stadium, to the roar of the home-crowd. Rooey will be right by your side so you know where to run, and all the players will be so excited to have you on the oval running into the warm-up with them. For this prize, registrations need to be for SMJFL players under the age of 14. You will need to arrive at the game before 4pm, to head underground and get ready with the team. You will recieve jumper, shorts & socks to keep.
What do I do in the Guard of Honour?
This is the greatest way to see the players run onto the ground, and hear the noise of the crowd getting ready for the game. You will give them high-fives and wave your Saints flag as they start their warm up. You will be given a Saints scarf and flag to keep. Standing next to 10 other kids who are as excited as you, is a fantastic way to experience football and see the size of the tall players, and feel the grass under your feet! You will need to arrive at Etihad before 4pm to head down and get ready with the team.
Where does the Change Room Pass get me?
This is your opportuntity to see behind-the-scenes of and AFL football team. This experience is post-match, so you have a great chance of singing along with the Saints players when they win. Players and coaches will stop have a chat with you about the game, and there are heaps of photo opportunities with the team. One child with accomanying parent will be hosted in the change room with League CEO Sarah Loh. You will need to meet promptly at the conclusion of the last quarter (you may miss a 10minutes of the end of the game – but its’ worth it!)
