Following the ongoing growth and development of the South Metro Junior Football League, a need has arisen for a Marketing, Events & Sponsorship Coordinator to assist with the management of league corporate partners and the delivery of marketing, events and administration activities.

The SMJFL is delighted to announce that Callum Hart has been appointed Marketing, Events & Sponsorship Coordinator.

Callum is an ideal fit for the role as he brings vast experience from some of Australia’s leading sporting bodies throughout his previous roles within marketing, sales and events at the State Sports Centres Trust and Australian Grand Prix Corporation.

One of the key needs was for the SMJFL to employ a dedicated staff resource to assist with the ever expanding SMJFL Partners Program, which will allow the league to better service both league partners and SMJFL member clubs.

SMJFL General Manager Jake McCauley says, “with a dedicated resource to assist the league in managing the SMJFL corporate, licensed & preferred partners, we are confident that we can continue to grow the revenue generated from the SMJFL Partners Program. In 2014, the SMJFL again has the lowest team affiliation fees of any football league in Melbourne. This is due to the Partners Program revenue providing a subsidy of over $350 per team. We look forward to continuing to work with our partners and clubs to ensure

that we grow the Partners Program and that we continue to have the lowest team affiliation fees in Melbourne.”

Callum has a strong connection with football in the region as a playing assistant coach for the Bentleigh Demons Football Club in 2013.
