The South Metro Junior Football League (SMJFL) will have two teams in AFL Victoria Junior Metro Championship Grand Finals this Saturday when the Under 14 Division 1 South Metro Stars take on Yarra Junior Football League (YJFL).

Our two teams will square off against YJFL in both Grand Final fixtures to kick off from 11am in Oakleigh, with the Stars heading into the matches full of confidence on the back of undefeated seasons, which included hard-fought wins over YJFL in Round 2.

The Division 1A side will be buoyed by the goalscoring form of Nathaniel Dear, who bagged 14 during the regular season. He was followed closely by Max Sullivan (8), who also enjoyed a stellar campaign.

The Division 1B boys will look back on their three-point win over Yarra in Round 2 as a benchmark for improvement, knowing that the visitors will be heading into Saturday’s clash full of confidence they can match with the Stars on the back of their previous hotly-contested match.
