Following on from a successful event last year, Sunday March the 23rd will see the return of the Girls Rule Footy Festival at Moorleigh Reserve.

It’s an enjoyable day that promotes female participation in local football, where girls aged between 8 and 16 of all experience levels are encouraged to come and participate in several drills before playing a short, fun game.

If you’re a girl who has ever thought about giving football a try before jumping all in then it’s the perfect event for you. Playing football is an exciting, fun, and social way to keep fit and active.

All participants on the day will have the opportunity to learn a thing or two from several Melbourne Football Club female players who will be in attendance to share a few of their skills with the attendees.

Not only does the event promise a fun day of footy – there will also be giveaways, face painting, a sausage sizzle and all participants on the day will go in the draw to win a Pandora watch.

The Festival will run for three hours between 9am and 12pm. Registrations to take place between 9am and 9:30am to allow for a 9:30am start.
