The South Metro Junior Football League is pleased to confirm Cabrini Emergency will return to support the league for the 2021 season.

Cabrini will continue to subsidise 50 per cent of Emergency Admission fees for the league’s 11,361 players throughout the 2021 season.

The partnership will provide players with reliable and sound medical care if injured during a match or training

SMJFL Chief Executive Officer Sarah Loh thanked Cabrini Emergency for their continued support.

“We’re proud to have Cabrini Emergency on board as an Official Partner, supporting the league’s mission to provide a safe, supportive and inclusive environment for all its members,” she said.

“Coming out of COVID, we can anticipate the impact that the pandemic and reduced physical activity during this period will have on our athletes,” said Ms Loh.

“There’s never been a more important time to ensure the health and safety of our community, and I’d like to thank Cabrini Emergency for playing a key part in this objective.”

Director of Cabrini Emergency Department Ian Turner outlined the importance of the partnership.

“2020 showed us the impact of not having sports in place and how this can affect not only the physical health but also the mental health of the community,” he said.

“I am very proud that Cabrini will be there to support the SMJFL’s players and their families when unexpected injuries occur. We will be able to help the league’s players with the initial assessment and management of any injuries and organise any additional specialist care that is needed to help get your players safely back on the ground.”

Cabrini Emergency will also provide 150 Club Trainer bibs to SMJFL clubs, which will once again feature the Cabrini Emergency logo.
