All South Metro Stars teams will take to the field on the Queens Birthday Weekend.

Our Under 14 & 15 teams are chasing a win after their Round 1 matches, which were played on Wednesday 30 May.

In tough, wet conditions in night games held across metro Melbourne, the South Metro Stars were unable to register a win in any divisions. Round 2 & 3, as well as the Under 13’s “Big League” Championships, promise to be great displays of football, and the effort that players, and coaching staff have put in over the last 14 weeks of the Next Generation Academy / SMJFL Interleague program.

Under 15 Boys

Round 2 – Saturday 9 June v Essendon Districts FL 

Where: Moorleigh Reserve, Bignell Rd, Bentleigh

Where: J.E. Moore Oval (West Preston FC)

Under 15 Girls

A special Auskick grid game experience is being held between the two matches at Highett. The next generation of female footballers will take to the field to celebrate the strong pathway for girls in the region.

Round 3 – Monday 11 June

Where: JJ Holland Park, Childers St, Kensington

SMJFL 2 v Western Region FL plays at 10am

The AFL Victoria Metro Junior Championships round games will conclude for Under 14 and Under 15 squads on Monday.

A grand final can be qualified for in the Under 14 Boys, Under 15 Boys, and Under 15 Girls SMJFL 1 divisions.
