In the eighth annual co-hosted Presentation Night, South Metro Junior Football League together with AFL Victoria recognised outstanding player achievements, the service of volunteers, exceptional coaching and emerging young leaders.

Over 850 people joined us at Kingston Arts Center on Wednesday night for the prestigious event.

MC’d by the SMJFL Umpire Academy Manager – Cam Watts, the Best & Fairest announcements were the most anticipated part of the the evening. In the two sessions, players and coaches, from Auskick to Under 13 and Under 14 to Under 18 competitions were recognised. SMJFL Administrators, volunteers, coaches and Interleague players were also recognised with the presentation of a variety of Awards.

The end-of-season event, held so promptly after the conclusion of the 2018 season was held in two sessions to include all age Under 11- Under 13, and Under 14 – Under 18 groups.

AFL Victoria’s Football Development Managers in the area also presented awards for the Central, Inner-Southern and Outer-Southern regions. These  included Auskick Center, Coach and Coordinator awards, plus Junior and Youth Coaching awards. Not to be forgotten two Special Recognition Awards for Outstanding Service to Australian Rules football.
