 Our club by club review of 2017 South Metro Junior Football League (SMJFL) season continues with St Paul’s McKinnon JFC next under the microscope.

  • 5% growth in junior team numbers to 11 teams in total
  • Five modified rules teams in 2017 with an expectation of two more in 2018
  • The introduction of girls teams in 2018
  • 150+ participants at Auskick level

  • Under 12 (Division 2) team successful in making the semi-finals
  • Luke Lloyd (Under 12 Division 2) successful in taking out the SMJFL League Best & Fairest
  • Lloyd and Luke Healy club representatives in SMJFL Intraleague
  • Matt O’Brien (Under 14) captaining the Under 14 (Pool A) SMJFL Interleague team
  • Finn Sullivan (Under 14) named best afield in Under 14 (Pool B) SMJFL Interleague premiership triumph
