Our youngest players wrapped up their seasons in the Lightning Carnivals, while the older age groups delivered football worthy of the edge of your seat. Multiple matches went down to the wire this week, including a rare draw. Momentum flipped, leads vanished, and one standout player refused to let her side go quietly.

STK Academy Diversity Squad Come & Try Sessions are back this September! 🔴⚪⚫

We are inviting boys and girls born between 2011 and 2014 who:
• Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, or
• Have at least one parent born in an African, Asian, Central or South American, or Pacific Island country.

The sessions provide an opportunity to develop your football skills, connect with the STK Academy and be considered for future Next Generation Academy programs.

📅 Wednesdays 2, 9, 16 and 23 September

This past weekend, U16s @wphawks player Bella-Cruize Appelman played her 150th game in the SMJFL, making her only the third girl to do so in league history, and the second to mark this milestone at one club.

Girls' footy looked very different back in 2016 when Bella started out, with the @aflw ramping up to launch in her first year of competition. Throughout her journey, Bella has marked many milestones and opportunities, including the @stkildafc Next Gen Academy (now STK Academy), SMJFL Interleague, and receiving her 10 year player award in 2025.

Bella continues to be heavily involved in footy in almost every way possible, including by Assistant Coaching the U14 Waverley Park Hawks Girls team, and goal umpiring in the @westgippslandfn Senior Men's Competition on Saturdays.

There's still time to get involved in the 2026 TAC Club Rewards program, with participating AFL Victoria affiliated clubs able to earn themselves up to $10,000 in funding through active participation and promotion of road safety in their community.
