SMJFL welcome Reflex to the fold

The South Metro Junior Football League (SMJFL) is delighted to announce a historic five-year partnership with leading Australian Paper brand Reflex as the league’s new Premier Sponsor.

The partnership is aligned with Reflex’s five-year major sponsorship of the St Kilda Football Club’s Southern Saints, as they embark on their VFL Women’s journey in 2018 and 2019, before entering the AFL Women’s competition in 2020.

The SMJFL’s dedication to the community and women’s sport more broadly is now being matched by Reflex, and together we will ensure the region’s footballers will have access to the necessary resources to fulfil their potential.

SMJFL Chief Executive Officer Sarah Loh said she was delighted to welcome Reflex on board and praised the company’s commitment to grassroots football.

“We are delighted to welcome leading Australian Paper brand Reflex on board for five years,” she said.

“The partnership, in conjunction with Reflex’s historic support of the Southern Saints, strengthens the female talent pathway in the region from the grassroots level to the elite level.

“Together with the SMJFL Interleague and St Kilda Next Generation Academy (NGA) partnership, the talent pathway for all players in the region has never been more supported and resourced. The league is excited to have our boys and girls dreaming to one day pull on the Saints jumper.”

Australian Paper CEO Mr Kashima said the company was thrilled to be partnering with the SMJFL.

“Reflex is proud to be sponsoring the SMJFL and the Southern Saints for the next five years, at the beginning of this important journey for everyone involved,” he said.

“Australia’s favourite office paper brand is manufactured here in Victoria and Reflex’s values of performance and reliability are a natural fit with the aspirations of the SMJFL and the Southern Saints.

“We are excited that Reflex has established a Premier five-year partnership with the SMJFL and Australian Paper is 100 per cent behind the league as it paves the way for the growth of women’s football in the south-east region.”

Reflex and the SMJFL’s partnership will be displayed in a multitude of ways, including physical displays at events, on staff and Interleague apparel, and match footballs, as well as publications and digital media channels.

The announcement follows the 2017 signing of Monash University as the league’s Major Sponsor who is entering their second year in partnership with the SMJFL.
