Pepper Money broadens St Kilda Football Club partnership to Southern Saints VFL Women’s and South Metro Junior Football League.
In a continued commitment to the St Kilda Football Club, Pepper is thrilled to announce they’ll be extending their support to the Southern Saints women’s VFL team as well as the Under 8s to 18s that participate in the South Metro Junior Football League (SMJFL). Pepper’s partnerships with the VFLW subset of the club will be an extension of the current principal partnership with the Saints, and they are proud to partner with the SMJFL, St Kilda FC’s community football partner in the region.
Pepper Money has enjoyed building genuine connections with the Saints since 2015 and continues to identify closely with the spirit and inclusiveness of the Club.
Jo Thrift, Pepper Money Chief Marketing Officer said “At Pepper, we are all about helping people succeed and are continuously looking for ways to make a difference in people’s lives. Aligning ourselves with the women’s and youth leagues is a perfect opportunity to nurture these emerging groups and help raise the profile of women in professional football.”
“The new partnerships demonstrate our ongoing commitment to the greater Bayside community and we are exciting about the opportunities our funding will open up”.
Pepper Money’s sponsorship extension will provide support to all levels of AFL; from nurturing the grassroot clubs young talent to providing equal opportunities across both women’s and men’s leagues.
Specifically, Pepper Money will be a principal sponsor of a women’s breakfast series and become partner of the women’s VFL coaches.
Their support for the SMJFL will directly filter down to all 26 grassroot football clubs, in the form of funding new equipment and uniforms. Pepper Money’s support will also enable free entry into the leagues Final Series – to ensure all family and friends can be involved in these community events.
SMJFL CEO, Sarah Loh said of the partnership, “We’re excited to partner with a leading alternative financial institution. Pepper Money’s support will help to grow grassroots football and girls participation. The sponsorship will directly benefit each of the 26 SMJFL member clubs and for the league to continue to offer free entry into the finals series in 2018”.
The broadened partnership with the Saints marks a significant step in a commitment to the Australian Football League and Bayside region.
