FINALS FORMATS
Under 11s – Under 13s
The 2022 SMJFL Finals will be conducted in the following formats.
Under 14s+
U14s+ age groups will play a ‘double chance’ finals system, where the top two teams on the season ladder will play each other in a semi final and third will play fourth in the other semi final. The winner of 1st vs 2nd goes straight through to the Grand Final, and the loser of 1st vs 2nd will play the winner of 3rd vs 4th in a preliminary final to decide who reaches the Grand Final.
U11 – U13 age groups will play two semi finals with the winners of these two semis to meet in the Grand Final. The team which finished first on the ladder will play the fourth-placed team, and second will play third as shown below.
