Brighton Lunch set to support Robert Connor Dawes Foundation
Friday the 19th of May will see the annual Brighton Lunch held at The Brighton International, presented by the Rotary Club of Brighton.
Plenty of amazing speakers and wonderful hospitality and entertainment in store, all for very worthy charitable causes, including 50% of proceeds directed to SMJFL official charity partner, the Robert Connor Dawes Foundation.
The inspirational speakers are excited to share their truly courageous stories.
Recent achievements for each of our speakers include the following:
- Mark Donaldson VC – An Australian soldier and a recipient of the Victoria Cross for Gallantry – the ultimate symbol of heroism. Mark Donaldson talks frankly about his transformation’ from zero to hero’; his life is a testament to what can be achieved through sheer courage and determination
- Liz Dawes – In just 4 years since losing her remarkable 18 year old son Connor Liz has created the largest charity in Australia, mainly through the successful Connor’s Run, for paediatric brain cancer, this country’s no.1 cancer killer of young people.
- Mike Rolls – A survivor of one of the deadliest diseases on the planet. His story of courage, determination and pure resilience will inspire, educate and entertain!
- Rhiannon Tracey – When a spinal cord injury changed Rhiannon’s life at the tender age of 20 she took it as an opportunity to create a new purpose, or “pave the way” for a new path in life, as she puts it bluntly.
Plus a special appearance from Lisa McCune.
Fantastic giveaways and auction prizes have already been generously donated – with more to come.
